Optimize LNG Recycle Streams with SimSci APC

Guest blogger: Paul Campo, Product Marketing Intern
According to a recent article in Gas Processing news, the recycle gas compressor (RGC) is one of the most important pieces of equipment in recycling gas streams at Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) plants.  A major disadvantage to a system occurs when the settle-out conditions are not properly calculated, which comprises the pressure and temperature in the recycle gas loop system when the gas flow is suddenly stopped after the RGC is tripped.
SimSci APC works to incorporate real time, closed-loop optimization into any process. Our models will give you the best flow rate, component ratios and process conditions (such as temperature and pressure) to give you the best recycle loop with improved reliability and reduced operating costs.
SimSci by Schneider Electric offers decades of experience and a large installed base, which covers a wide variety of processes and consequently has yielded a controller that is more stable and provides better constraint control than any other on the market. With our experience in over 75 percent of LNG plants worldwide, Schneider Electric is your go-to company for process control software.
