Energy Efficiency Key to Reducing Pollution

According to a study conducted by the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE), steps taken by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to reduce carbon pollution could have a significant effect on the atmosphere as well as the economy.  CO2 emissions standards currently under review by the White House Office of Management and Budget  have the potential to enforce emissions reductions by 26 percent below 2012 levels.  This would save an estimated 600 million tons of greenhouse gas emissions and create 611,000 jobs across the country by 2030.
